The Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest is accessible just minutes from the Last Chance Motel, offering an excellent area to recreate. In the summer enjoy your day hiking, horseback riding, or off road adventuring in your UTV before grabbing a cold one and patty melt at our neighbor's the Spotted Dog Saloon. In the winter cross country ski 14 kilometers of scenic groomed classic and and skate cross country trails at MacDonald Pass ski trails or rally your snowbike or snowmobile off into the back country.



Elliston is located along the Little Blackfoot River in the heart of hunting and fishing country. We welcome accommodations for anglers and hunters.
If your a history buff or photographer various old mining structures are still standing and offer a window into a rich past. If your looking for small town Montana charm and killer blueberry pie then stop into the Avon Cafe right up the road and enjoy a slice (or an entire pie, no one would judge you). And Friday through Sunday the Birdseye Mercantile in Avon is open peddling fine fabrics any quilter would love as well as yarn, gifts and antiques. If you want to journey up over the pass Broadwater Hot Springs is 18 miles away.
